The Links at Spanish Bay is an enchanting 18-hole golf course with sweeping ocean vistas and twilight bagpipe performances. Pebble Beach Golf Links is widely regarded as the nation’s best public golf course and has hosted more U.S. Opens than any other course since the 1970s, holding its sixth tournament in 2019 and seventh in 2027. Since 1947, the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has brought top professional and celebrity golfers to Pebble Beach Golf Links each February. The Pro-Am is co-hosted with Spyglass Hill Golf Course, where gorgeous greens overlook the ocean and the pines of the Del Monte forest. Pebble Beach Golf Links also hosts Concours d’Elegance, the grand finale of August’s Monterey Car Week.
 
Del Monte Golf Course is the oldest continuously operational course west of the Mississippi, opening with nine Charles E. Maud-designed holes in 1897 and being expanded to 18 holes in 1902. 
 
The private members’ clubs of Cypress Point Club and Monterey Peninsula County Club each offer dramatic 18-hole courses, with Cypress Point’s course being ranked second-best in the world by Golf Digest in 2011. Other highly-regarded golf courses at Pebble Beach include the rolling terrain of Poppy Hills and the beginner-friendly nine holes of the Peter Hay Golf Course. 17-Mile Drive follows the Peninsula’s coastline, taking in the incredible scenery of forests, sea, and golf greens. Landmarks along 17-Mile Drive include the mystical Lone Cypress perched atop an ocean rock and the rugged coastal viewpoint of Bird Rock Vista Point
 
In January, The Half Marathon at Pebble Beach sees runners follow 17-Mile Drive for one of the world’s most scenic footraces. April’s Pebble Beach Food & Wine event gives attendees the chance to sample dishes and drinks from 100 celebrity chefs and 250 wineries.
